Dave and I decided to start this blog because we cook almost every day (that work doesn't keep us eating left overs or Clif bars) and I was probably annoying all of my friends on Facebook with the constant photos of all of the yummy things we make.
The first couple of posts will be playing catch up on the things we've made so far.
The blog is called Sunday Food because that's what we eat on the weekends: Sunday food! Always a frittata, but almost never the same thing twice.
Stay tuned to recipes, photos, successes and failures (we've only had a few on those), and lots and lots of cured pork products.
Until then, here a sampling of some of our favorites, and a little taste of things to come...
Afghan Roasted Eggplant with garlic-mint yogurt and kale with onions, lemon, and kalamata olives.
The first frittata! Leeks, smoked fontina, sausage, and asparagus.

Buffalo chicken, brocoli rabe, smoked gouda and leek frittata! Super Bowl!
Double chocolate bacon cookies. Oh yes.
Lemon roasted asparagus with cotija cheese, balsamic roasted tomatoes and pesto-goat cheese stuffed chicken.
The first day I ever stayed at Dave's. Had to impress. Thyme-Parmesean french toast with rosemary butter, cinnamon nutmeg french toast with orange glaze and maple sausage. Apparently it was good enough for him to let me stay :)
Filet au poivre with sauteed onions and bell peppers and parmesan and sun-dried tomato quinoa.
Pesto sauteed tofu and yuba, butternut squash soup, and lemon sauteed kale
Home made chicken tikka masala (we even made our own garam masala!)
Formerly: oven roasted balsamic tomatoes, asparagus-leek soup, and flank steak with rosemary chimichurri.
The most wonderful: homemade cinnamon apple sauce, caramelized onions, ginger-garlic kale, and Jarlsburg swiss stuffed-bacon wrapped pork loin chops. It was almost offensive it was so good.
